Figen will be commencing her walk on May 7th from the site where her son was tragically killed in 2017, she aims to reach Downing Street by May 22nd, the seventh anniversary of Martyn's death.
Martyn's Law, named in honor of her son, seeks to enhance counter-terrorism measures at public spaces. Despite government pledges and consultations, the proposed legislation remains pending, prompting Figen's march to raise awareness. Joined by fellow campaigners including Brendan Cox, widower of MP Jo Cox, and former national counter-terrorism co-ordinator Nick Aldworth.
