Westminster’s Aviation Security courses are designed to ensure they meet all requirements set by ICAO, the EU and are fully compliant with the DfT / CAA syllabi within the National Aviation Security Programme.

The Aviation Security Manager’s Course will ensure that all Aviation Security Managers understand their role and responsibilities in ensuring that a security programme and its implementation meet all legal provisions. It will also ensure that Aviation Security Managers understand the legal framework of aviation security and the current threat; and are aware of the wider security issues.

The Refresher Course will utilise existing knowledge and experiences and will incorporate other best practices from throughout the aviation security industry.

Both courses will provide the guidance and information required to effectively implement security procedures that not only manage the risk but also enhance operations and comply with national and international requirements.

Both courses cover:

·        The threat to aviation

·        National and international objectives of aviation security

·        Quality assurance

·        Implementing the National Aviation Security Programme

·        Contingency planning and incident response

·        Screening technology

·        RFX

The initial ASM Training is a 4-day course, and the Refresher course is spread across 2 days. Both courses can be delivered either at our dedicated training facility in Banbury, or now at a venue at London Heathrow.
