Within his role at Westminster, Ryan focuses on the upcoming Martyn's Law (formerly Protect Duty) and mass screening technology. He is also a volunteer Community First Responder for the West Yorkshire Ambulance Service and advocates for new standards in first aid training – particularly in dealing with mass bleeds and increasing survivability following serious incidents.
On day two of the show, he will be joining Figen Murray OBE, Damien Watling (ProTrainings Europe) and Ross Paton (Counter Terrorism Youth Advisory Group), to speak upon the topic of ‘Prepare: How a well informed and properly trained public can be effective zero responders'.
