Recently the HM Prison Service National Dog Technical Support Group (NDTSG) completed our ADR Dangerous Goods by Road Awareness Course. Delegates from NDTSG were given driver awareness training for the transport of dangerous goods and, in particular, UN Class 1 and Class 5.2 articles and substances.
As a part of this training course, the HM Prison Service NTDSG brought along several of their Explosive Detection and Firearm Detection dogs. Pictured are Viking, a Dutch Herder Cross Belgian Malinois; and Roxy, a Springer Spaniel.
ADR by Road certificates are valid for 5 years from the date of initial training, providing refresher training is given when any changes take place that have an impact on the roles and responsibilities undertaken by the above.
The carriage of dangerous goods by road, rail, inland waterway, sea and air is regulated internationally by European regulations and parallel legislation in the UK. All drivers carrying Dangerous Goods are required by law to have had ADR training.
Westminster deliver all Dangerous Goods courses, and can provide ADR Road, Rail Sea and Air courses either separately or as one combined course. Additionally, we offer a range of other courses, certifications and accreditations tailored to meet your exact requirements.
All training is delivered in our purpose-built facility in Banbury, alternatively, training can be provided at a suitable place of work.
